On a two month trip from Amsterdam to Cape Town, Wim Hof will show the world once and for all how the human consciousness has absolute power over the body and it's capabilities.
In search for the most extreme conditions on earth Wim Hof (better known as The Iceman) and Rob Durand (photographer and cameraman) will take part in this two-month trip.
During this trip (start August / September 2011) we'll shoot a documentary about:
- How Wim Hof can run more then a full marathon (50 km) in the Sahara desert without drinking, eating, or any kind of body protection, to prove scientifically that The Iceman can control his core temperature in extreme heat as well as in extreme cold. This has never been done before and will be a World record (will be registered for the World Guinness Book of Records).
- How Wim Hof shall break his own world record of sitting in ice at Cape Point.
- On our way down we will visit many cultures and Shamans and talk about inner energy, mind power and exploring human consciousness and maximum capabilities. For example we will walk on fire, in a state of trance and visit South African trance cultures.
- During the full length of the trip we will show several exercises to improve the immune system with heals most common diseases. This consists out of every day Kundalini Yoga, purification by natures pureness, and (trance) dance.
For who knows the story behind Wim "The Iceman", Wim always goes far beyond any other human's physical capability, and puts science for a huge mystery. But one undeniable fact remains: mind over matter. World leading scientists are following our trip closely and there shall be a worldwide media exposure. For now that exists of the Dutch news, Show News, and other national TV stations. Also several magazines and newspapers will report on our journey. We are in negotiations with Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and BBC for releasing our documentary.
Our chosen route: Holland, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa, a total of 19.000 km through deserts, plains and rainforests.
